Healthy snacks are essential for us , important for good nutrition and a very important part of a healthy diet. We need to pay attention to what we eat and moderation is the key to smart snacking. Healthy snacks are rich in vitamins, minerals, provide our body with an energy boost during the day, and they provide fibre to help cleanse the body and prevent diabetes, high cholesterol or heart disease.
My personal favourite are sunflower seeds - an excellent source of vitamin E, particularly rich in magnesium, and a good source of selenium, copper,
zinc, folate, and iron . Sunflower oil and seeds contain both monounsaturated and
polyunsaturated fat the types of fat that may protect the heart. The biggest benefit for me is that Sunflower seeds are healthy, but delicious as well I love this unique taste!
